My Fitbit band pulls in. purse straps and Barretts, its magnetic clip strong enough to pull my wrist into my belt. Odd the way it slides free of my laptop and snaps open so easily when I roll it into my pocket for a bike ride. I'm a slave to my Fitbit. The magnetized wristband merely reinforces my uncontrolled obsession. Why do I now need 30 thousand steps to succeed? Why was 25 thousand acceptable just months ago and even 16 thousand impressive last year? I'm a slave to the Fitbit and addicted to its screen.
